I’m Emma, and I founded Making Food Happen in 2018 because my passion and expertise is connecting and partnering companies in the food world.

Whether you’re a Food Buyer looking for a particular product to add to your category, a Recipe Developer looking for that vital ingredient, a Brand or Manufacturer looking to grow your product or customer portfolio, or even a Start-Up looking for connections into the retail sector - this is the work I do and love...

After spending the last 6 years running my company out of my mobile phone and a hotmail account, I figured it was about time to get online (!) which is why I’ve launched Making Food Happen.

I’ve grown up in the food industry, starting my career in a family run manufacturing business, which was an incredible journey for many years and gave me a great grounding to start out on my own. I work with some of the most amazing and influential people in the industry, and feel incredibly proud to still work with the same clients I started out with 6 years ago.

Naturally, I have a love for all things food, and I get involved in so many interesting and diverse client projects. From agriculture, processing, environmental and retailing, through to packaging, the consumer and the latest trends - these are just a few of the projects and topics I love researching, exploring, supporting and getting my teeth into.
